The UBB CASH TRUST is a trust established by you where you place a sum of cash in a trust that can be made available to your named beneficiaries in the event of an emergency. It provides swift cash for expenses and reliefs during emergencies that will help tide your family over until the insurance payout and/or access to your money in the bank accounts upon the grant of probate and execution of the will.
The UBB Cash Trust will help your family pay the legal expenses incurred to obtain the Letters of Administration or Grant of Probate (mandatory legal documents) necessary to unfreeze your assets (eg. bank account) upon your death. This legal process will usually take more than 6 months and be a heavy burden on your already grieving family. You should allocate a reasonable amount by way of a UBB Cash Trust to cover these legal expenses and also to provide your family with living expenses for that duration.
The UBB CASH TRUST will tide your family over until the insurance payout and till your family has access to your bank accounts after the grant of probate. This cash can also be used to pay for any legal fees in order to access any inheritances and bereavement related expenses. During your trust duration of 3 years, you will be provided with FREE personal accident (PA) coverage with up to two times the value of your cash trust with a reputable insurance company.
It is a sum of cash that can be accessed by you or your beneficiaries at anytime, however terms and conditions will apply should the monies be withdrawn prior to the maturity period.
